Portfolio evidence examples

Evidence example 1: Journal review. This evidence includes a journal review previously carried out by the trainee which has been linked to their current discipline of study. It contains a summary of conclusions made by the trainee and their own critical evaluation of the article. 

The candidate also included some objective elements relating to the publication  (i.e. copy of the front page of the article, location of the article web site etc.).

Evidence example 2: Laboratory study. This piece involves an independent internal research study carried out by the trainee within the laboratory. Although a simple study, it helps to support the department with their ongoing service improvements.  A further page (not included) was used for conclusions and references. Portfolio v5 mandatory piece.

  • Each piece of evidence above also included mentor / trainee engagement feedback (e.g. ticks, short comments, follow-up questions).
