Portfolio and departmental competencies
IBMS Certificate of Achievement - Part II
To be eligible for this award you must complete all 14 core modules below and at least 4 modules from the optional modules (you may do more than 4 optional modules).
Please remember that the following elements within the portfolio (for each module) needs to be signed by both the trainee and trainer:
-
Evidence pieces
-
Performance indicators
Part II x 4 optional modules: Please note that for these modules the candidate must interpret and produce their own pieces of evidence work by using guidance taken directly from the IBMS portfolio. Candidates may still ask mentors for advice and guidance.
The line manager’s comments box must be completed after all the above have been signed for each module – this indicates that the trainee has the necessary skills and knowledge (i.e. competence).
Once the portfolio has been completed the laboratory manager completes the declaration of completion form (only this element of the portfolio is to be sent back to the IBMS) - the candidate will then be issued with the Certificate of Achievement part II.
